Hand Rejuvenation

Lax skin and wrinkles on the hand surface reveal age. As we grow older, the collagen fibers shorten or breakdown causing gaps. When the skin falls through these gaps, wrinkles are formed. Sun damage, protruding veins, mottled hyperpigmentation and shriveled skin cause the hands to look ungraceful.

Hand rejuvenation procedures are aimed at restoring collagen, tightening skin and reducing pigmentation to give your hands an improved skin tone and texture.

Who can be treated?

Men and women of any age and all skin types who wish to treat hand surface skin laxity, sun damage, blemishes and wrinkles.

How do we treat?

Skin laxity and wrinkles on hand surface can be treated in different ways as each treatment regime is custom tailored for individual patients and depends upon their age and skin condition as well as medical and environmental factors. Your dermatologist at Binsina Laser Clinic can advise you the best treatment or combination of treatments suited to your condition. Treatments are carefully selected from the following set of procedures after a thorough examination of the area to be treated.

How do these treatments work?

LimeLight Facial is a light based procedure, which addresses problems at the skin surface such as redness, mottled complexion, freckles and sun spots. The procedure delivers a series of pulses of light which pass through the skin destroying abnormal cells while leaving the health cells intact. Each light pulse gives a mild pinching sensation. There is no downtime and the patient starts to see results within a short period of time.

Titan uses infra-red light to heat tissue in the deep dermis. During the Titan treatment, the patient first feels cool, then a brief heating sensation followed by a cool feeling with each pulse. There is minimal downtime and the results are amazing.

The eTwo Sublime procedure uses a combination of infrared light and bi-polar radio frequency to provide controlled deep dermal heating, which both stimulates new collagen and improves aged collagen to reduce deep wrinkles and tighten skin. During the procedure some patients feel a warm sensation while others can experience a slight pinching sensation.

The Portrait Plasma uses the plasma technology (plasma is the fourth state of matter) that works by delivering millisecond pulses of nitrogen plasma energy both on and below the surface of the skin to modify the skin’s architecture so that new collagen is generated leaving a healthy and even skin with an improved tone and texture.

How many treatments will I need?

Each treatment regimen is different and varies from case to case depending upon age, skin damage, genetic disposition, medical, and environmental factors. Most patients can expect between 2to 3 treatments to see improvement. A periodic top up treatment is recommended to continue to enjoy the youthfulness of your skin.

When will I see the results?

Results depend upon the age and condition of the skin. Some patients start to see early results over a period of 2 – 4 weeks. Others may take longer to see improvements. Further improvements continue to be observed for several months of the treatment.

Are there any side effects?

Generally, there are minimum side effects such as slight redness or mild swelling in the treated area, which is generally temporary. In some cases they can last from one to two days. In others, they can last from five to seven days as tiny scabs form and eventually fall off leaving a pink and healthy skin. Patients are advised not to expose the treated area to direct sunlight, very hot water and abrasive cleansers for some time. For best results it is recommended that patients always use a sunscreen of SPF 30+ when outdoors. Patients are strongly advised to follow post-care instructions provided by the Clinic to minimize risks and achieve desired results.

What are the benefits of Non-Surgical Hand Rejuvenation treatments?

  • No cutting or puncturing of the skin
  • No surgery required
  • Minimal discomfort
  • Minimal risk of change in skin
  • May be used for all skin types
  • Minimal or no downtime

*Benefits and risks may vary from case to case and will depend on size and type of skin being treated, age, hereditary, medical, hormonal and life style factors.
